Skoolbo 2.0 Launched! - FREE educational game

Great news - Skoolbo 2.0 is now available!

Skoolbo has been a standing favorite of mine. It is an EXCELLENT FREE gaming environment for children 4-10 practice their reading and mathematics skills. The kids will get caught up in the beautifully rendered 3-D worlds and fun avitars. Although the markers suggest up tot he age range of 10, my school has used it to help build the skills of 13 year olds who were academically delinquent. They embraced the game, and looked forward to competing with others. Did I mention that Skoolbo has an app? iOS or android, take your pick.

Enhancements:

·  Offline play with automatic syncing of results when online.

·  A simplified administration process where student accounts are created directly on the student app. Parents and teacher invites are coordinated on the student app.

·  Contents section where children can select their own curriculum and view results.

·  Graduation ceremonies when each skill is mastered.

·  Additional curriculum in both literacy and numeracy - more than 10,000 extra questions!

Instructions for various platforms:

·  PC & Mac: Please uninstall your current version and reinstall the latest version here.

·  iPad: Upgrade directly on your iPad. Link

·  Android: Upgrade via Google Play. Link

·  Win 8: Upgrade via Windows Store. Link

·  Samsung: Progressing through approval process - expected next week.

If you have any problem, please try to uninstall and reinstall the app from app store. Please note that if you have to reinstall, you will also need to re-enter your parent details in the Sign-in Shortcut to configure your device. Please don't hesitate to let us know of any difficulties you may encounter.
In addition, we are delighted to introduce Fan Club by Skoolbo, a new app that allows you to track your child’s progress on Skoolbo. Become a fan of your child, have fun playing Core Skills with them and celebrate their significant achievements. Completely FREE!


Fan Club by Skoolbo is currently available on iOS – iPad 2 and above; iPhone 4 and above. We will release a version for Android and Win8 soon.


Skoolbo2.0 also allows us to release the following over the next few weeks:

·  Teachers and parents will have the ability to set curriculum for their children.

·  Parents will be able to play with their children via a parent app.

·  An HTML5 web browser version. This is 2D and not quite as fancy as our 3D app, but importantly it helps enable children to play on whatever device they have easiest access to. Results automatically sync across all platforms.
