Free educational iPad apps (4/16 listing)

The following educational iOS apps are free today. Items in italics are newly free today. Download the apps as soon as possible as they can go to paid status at any time.
Once you download a free app, you'll enjoy its free price forever. For example, a paid app that you download today for free will remain free when you re-download it in the future, even if its price has gone back to paid. So, if you think you might ever want a particular free app, even if you don't need it right away, go ahead and download it while it's free, wait 24 hours, and then delete it from your device. You'll always own the app as free after that.

SKOOLBO: Aweome FREE educational game for ages 4-10

I am very happy to share this resource with everyone after having a fantastic ongoing experience with them:
SKOOLBO  located at www.skoolbo.com

Why I like SKOOLBO:
-->It’s FREE (always a plus)
-->AMAZING graphics and gameplay is highly engaging while reinforcing core skills
-->There are NO ADS, nor does it allow gamers direct communication (safety for this age range to play alone)
-->Quick & easy download of software, and parents and teachers can have accounts to track student performance

“Skoolbo Core Skills is the world’s largest educational game ever! Skoolbo is a literacy and numeracy program with more than 50,000 questions designed to assist 4 to 10 year olds in their journey to mastery of essential reading and mathematics skills. Children enjoy fantastic 3D worlds, amazing fun, multiplayer races and best of all – it’s FREE!”

IMPORTANT MSG from SKOOLBO:  SKOOLBO  is currently being considered for a grant as part of the LA2050 Project. In order to make it to the final round, we have to finish in the top 10 for public votes and with 24 hours to go we are right on the cusp. Every vote is crucial.
Our “LA Kids Rock!” aims to unite the entire community with one common purpose – ensuring every child learns to read and gains a confidence with numbers.
Please vote for us – it takes about 1 minute. Please be aware that unfortunately the voting site occasionally struggles under heavy load.

As a final word on their behalf, PLEASE take 1 min out to vote for SKOOLBO. It is important the we support the efforts of companies that support our kids' education via technology. -C.C.
